I note in May edition of Climber a lengthy article praising Craig y Gesail. Over the years this crag has become seriously overgrown. You need to use machetes to arrive at the first pitches of many of the routes. I still have the scars to show after fighting with the brambles and nettles on this route. Another party took ages before they reached climbable rock on The Chateau. Treat the article in Climber with caution and take the machete if you decide to climb here!!!
