a great climb - what severe should be. got a bit of go about it and a fantastic well protected but exposed flying finish. must have been slightly cleaner than it has been in the past

This is the worst climb i have ever done ever, ever,ever!!! Didn't really lead it as i used preplaced protection!!( so had no pro myself) had a drama at the start, which seemed to follow me all the way up!! Last move of the climb proved very interesting, Couldn't make the step up to finish because belayer had rope far too tight! After a couple of choice words directed to Frank (belayer), rhe rope remained tight, pulled the bloody thing hard as i could, didn't budge an inch!! Shit!!It's jammed in the crack!! Well didn't fancy down climb, couldn't go up!! Didn't fancy falling!! and no pro of my own to make myself comfortable!! My buddies at the bottom taking bets on how long i could hold on for! Thanks daz for the sling. Clipped on to a sling conneted to daz (all ten stone of him) and came off the rope for the finale move! Not what i would call a good start!! Got to the bottom to be greated by 4 guys crying with laughter, my belaer included. Glad to have cheered them up!! 5 fags and some redbull later back on the crag!!

Fair amount of rope drag as I got to the top. Be wary of rope dropping into crack and getting stuck just before you make the final move. See Al's story.
