Took the higher first stance, tricky getting to it in big boots, handy flake seemed a bit loose! Awesome positions for the grade, a fine day out. Snowed graupel on us while leaving Sunset Ledge but then sun came back out.

Climbed in alpine style with big boots and sack as part of a circuit. Good climb in awesome location and great exposure. A bit tough in a couple of places with the boots - they don't smear so well :-) Lower sction has quite a bit of loose rock making protection rather thin.

Excellent route, feels very remote, but peaceful. Led pitches 1-3 upto sunset ledge as one, then moved together on pitch 3. Up to sunset ledge your route finding is put to test, and there's no polish to guide the way! There was also a fair bit of loose rock and not overly abundant protection on fairly steep but easy climbing. I also thought pitch 5 up the open corner was quite tough for VDiff. And those belay ledges are sensational aslong as you don't mind a bit of exposure.

A great route. Gets my vote as best VDiff in North Wales. Only one other party on the whole crag, despite it being a sunny bank holiday, and lovely un-polished rock. Corner pitch near the top felt like a good Severe!
