Esther HVS 5a
[Esther (HVS 5a), 3 kb]20m. New route on Plimsoll Line Cliff Scramble easily down the boulder choke and slabs between the quarry floor and prominent seaward pinnacle until the barnacles are reached. The two routes here take the cleanest and steepest rock on the cliff and rationalise a wandering route climbed previously by Ken and Wendy Palmer. Start below a short, shallow corner feature a few feet above the high water mark. Climb directly past this (bold) and continue more easily and with protection to a roof. Avoid this by moving right and up to a ledge, then climb easily and directly to belay on the ridge.
