Lead P1, Oli lead P2 but was getting a bit dark when he got to the top, so decided it was safest for him to ab off to get the gear instead.

Rob led pitch one and I led pitch two. What an epic! It felt desperate and just really out there with 50 metes of air beneath my feet as I jammed my way up the crack. It felt hard as jamming is definitely not one of my strong points. The second pitch is very hard and sustained for hvs while the first pitch which Rob did was a bold undertaking indeed.

Quality route if hard pitch two and scary pitch one 3*
loundsy - AltLd O/S - 11/Mar/11 with marcus
P1 scary; went slightly wrong way near start of P2 (where E3 goes right) and did something hard to get back into the line

Really good. Much better than it looks.

Wow! What an experience. I led the first pitch, didn't like a loose looking flake and ended up right of the route and had to descend slightly to regain position. Remainder of first pitch straightforward if slightly run out, with not much in the way of stable gear. Second pitch led by Jordan had two main sections, a brutal crack climb, featuring a lay-back and a stretch for a small finger crimp, then a rest before the grand finale; three metres of hand jamming with hardly anything for the feet. I might have found this easier if I hadn't been nursing a pulled muscle in my abdomen, but on gaining the final jugs I had nothing left and made the belay on willpower. With hindsight I shouldn't have attempted such a physical pitch with an injury, but success was very sweet indeed, probably the hardest pitch I've ever done.

When I mentioned to a friend that we'd been on Thor he immediately asked "how far did you get before you fell off?". Its that kind of HVS.
