I lead the first pitch and accidentally part of the 2nd pitch too. I overshot the normal belay and took a belay at the top of the right-to-left ramp, just before the final left-to-right ramp. The brambles on the first pitch really are annoying and come at a delicate point where you could really do without the distraction. Some of the ledges are a bit dirty too (beware after rain!). All in all, an enjoyable route though, and the slab you topout on is in a great position. We added some tat to the ab point on the tree at the top of the slab, as the black rope looked pretty weathered and there was one other thinish piece
Steve Bartle - AltLd O/S - 24/Jun/15 with danieleaston

Led the top bit this time
danieleaston - AltLd rpt - 24/Jun/15 with Steve

led 2nd pitch. Top pitch felt hard to me. Great line though, quality climbing and features. It was a bit over grown and dirty. With a little more traffic it would be incredible
Kemics - AltLd O/S - 23/Jun/15 with Mel

Led first pitch, bit run out to start. Some small hedges to pull through. Great varied route, least polish on gorge. Really enjoyed.
Melonfly - AltLd O/S - 23/Jun/15 with Caleb

Hidden - Lead O/S - 19/Jun/15

bought a fair bit of rock off standing on something I shouldn't have on the top pitch. don't think it alters the grade but be careful with the rock quality

Rebs - 2nd - 06/Jun/15 with Thom Jenkinson

Still good fun!
thom_jenkinson - Lead rpt - 06/Jun/15 with Rebs

Led the whole thing. Both pitches good fun (even if the first is a bit green) Second pitch makes the route however and has excellent and varied moves throughout.
thom_jenkinson - Lead O/S - 12/May/15 with Laura Shaw

I didn't enjoy the first pitch (brambles, route- finding) but the second pitch was excellent
danieleaston - AltLd O/S - 05/Sep/14 with Saz

Awesome top pitch, not your typical gorge route!

Mike ran it in one pitch. Rope very nearly ran out. Pulled a solid looking hold off & fell. boo.
felixizzy - 2nd dog - 20/Apr/14

One of the hidden gems of Avon, that is well worth seeking out. Pleasant climbing on the 1st pitch proceeds the awesome 2nd pitch that weaves through E1 territory following rock reminiscent of Unknown Buttress. I led P1, Laura led P2
Ragingpossum - AltLd O/S - 26/Feb/14 with laura shaw

First VS lead! Really enjoyed both pitches, particularly the second. Committing moves but good gear.
laurashaw - AltLd O/S - 26/Feb/14 with William Bourne

steve_gibbs - Lead O/S - 22/Feb/14 with George Frisby

Amazing climbing on the second pitch, great holds which you rarely see on Avon limestone. Good gear as well.

Cool rock, shame it seems so friable in places. Good top pitch on this.
thomasadixon - AltLd O/S - 30/Aug/12 with Becca

Great climb. Airy, exposed top pitch but with very good protection.

Great route! Interest, variety, challenging...and it's not polished to within an inch of its life. We did it on the day of the 10k when the Portway was closed to give us a unique Avon experience - no polish and no traffic noise! Shhh, don't tell the others.

Lead 2nd pitch
TDembrey - AltLd O/S - 19/May/12 with Peter

lead 1st pitch, very nice due to some vegetation, good protection, 2nd pitch is great, exposed climbing on beautiful rock
pheotleyr - AltLd O/S - 19/May/12 with Todd

4c pitch. Fantastic route!!! even though the vegetation was a little annoying. Exciting and slightly technical working way up crack/slanting slab. Good effort with 1st pitch James
Stanners - AltLd O/S - 17/Feb/12 with James Rich

Very pleasantly surprised by this route it's really worth seeking out. I Lead p.1 and Rob led the excellent top pitch.

Really nice climb, but quite a lot of vegetation on P1. Got rained on near the top of P2 so felt quite tricky for 4c.
Clay C - Lead O/S - 23/Sep/10 with Steve Gibbs

steve_gibbs - 2nd O/S - 23/Sep/10 with Clay C

Nice route - 2nd pitch quite intimidating, initial ramp quite scarry - spent a lot of time sussing out the top move, but easier than it looks.
PaulWatson - Lead O/S - 21/Sep/10 with Muny

Chris P1, Gary P2. Gary ended up a long way off route after thinking the 'much steeper ramp' was a flake rather than a ramp. Had a slight epic after finding himself in E3/4 territory! He ended up down-climbing back to the steeper ramp and climbed it.
Chris Sansum - AltLd rpt - 03/Jul/10 with Gary Lewin

Did it in one long pitch, carefull rope work needed.
Marti999 - Lead O/S - 30/May/10 with Anna

Tomar - 2nd O/S - 10/Mar/10 with "Brosky"

harder than I remember. Bits missing from top of P2?

really nice, not 'hard for the grade' as guide book suggests. Interesting last moves. Topped out in light rain. death(ish) descent in dark and wet down rock ramp then scramble
