Lead p1, poor gear. Stepped right out of groove to find gear and take LH end of overhang. Traverse was tricky too, but much more gear

i led first pitch. wasnt as badly protected as the guidebook made out (still not great). room full of mirrors that gets hvs 5a seemed scarier the other day to me so dont know where that leaves this. I'd say soft e1 but if thats the case then RFOM should probably be upgraded.

Some nicely bold but straight-forward climbing on the 1st pitch (Gives it the E1 grade). Traverse was fairly straightforward in comparison. Typically Avon - in that it had a lot of rusty pegs!!

Led quickly before the swelling became prohibitive after doing a 15ft face-plant near enough breaking my nose and wrist whilst bouldering to warm up. Watched the rugby later through blurry eyes. Lovely sun, decent climb. Great days.
