Some suspect rock, a run out crux at the exit to the groove and a psychological crux moving left and then back right over the top roof all made it feel a bit E3'ish.

Failed at the crux above the Shattered Rib, after enjoying the excellent first part of the route. It seems that a large block has fallen off recently. I don't know whether this has made the crux harder?

Quite an introduction to main wall climbing! Alex spent ages on the crux, which is right at the top, but got it clean in the end. By the time I reached it I had run out of puff and it was dark, so I swung out over the overhang and hauled myself up the rope like a sack of spuds. The tree is not all that we had hoped for, so a thorny scramble up to the top by moonlight ensued.
