Witnessed a climber injured by falling ice, large facial gash, blood on the ice. His partner abbed them both off, and we gave first aid. We lead on, and retrieved their gear. Finished up left hand gully.

Brief visit on the way to Roy Bridge. The line shown in the guide book was partially snowed under and didn't look very interesting so we did a variation on the right at about the same grade (or is it an 'official' separate route?). Paul led an ice pitch to a rock belay and I did a short pitch with a couple of exposed mixed moves to get onto an easy snow slope from the belay ledge.
