Had tried earlier in the day (midday) but start was difficult to locate (why isn't the large detached flake mentioned as a reference point in the description?),was damp and seemed bold & poorly protected for 4b. So we did Western Slabs. In the evng sunlight (6 pm) we came back and used p1 of Western slabs to gain the rib from the right. P2 is excellent, marvellous climbing. On p3 we did the 4c finish but regretted not finishing up p2 of the Link (5b); a beautiful finger crack. Would be worth 3 stars this way.

Led 1st and 3rd pitches. Started in wrong place on 1st pitch and then got a bit nervy not sure I was on the route during a long runout section but eventually found the belay. The second pitch is magnificent - exposed but with just adequate protection. 3rd pitch was excellect and proper 4c (unlike the top pitch of Diagonal!).

I could of went further left but looked easy so went up a wall littered in cracks and inbetween very hollow sounding blocks. Fun but slightly unearving then have to do a small detour a top(foot travere, right 2m). tryed above but was blank and my protection was doubious
