Rockfax Description
Continue following path 243 south and then south-east as it ascends to reach Forcella del Banco after 30 minutes of uphill walking. This is the start of Sentiero Carlo Minazio and a long undulating traverse then follows as the route winds its way towards Cengia Inferiore dei Colli Neri with intermittent wire on the more exposed sections, and fantastic views over the Val di San Vido to the east. With the ledge system completed the valley opens up, where a right turn onto path 247 towards Bivacco Slataper is made (here path 226 can be used as an escape route down the Val di San Vito if required). Entering into the Fond de Rusecco basin, the path ascends up a large scree bowl to reach Bivacco Slataper (possible overnight stop) in around an hour of walking, some 3-4 hours after departing Bivacco Comici. © Rockfax
