Got 3rd way up but couldn't reach the holds (what holds?) i did try to go straight up cause i don;t know the route. Will have to watch someone climb it. Put a sling on the spike to start (dodgy spike). Continued with an improvised layback and got a nut in. Once i reached the half ledge i cleaned a crack and put a number 1 nut which suprisely was bomber (hard to get out later) should emphasize the 10 mins of fiddling with other sized nuts before this. Spent the next 20 mins trying to ascend then gave up because i was pumped. Down climbed and absailed to collect my gear. Quite scary but glad to touch ground... pissed off too.
