solo with two ropes on my back ready to abseil! A bit damp...

Topped out about a minute before a blood red sun sank down below the horizon. Superb!

Only up this time, liked Easy Slabs again! I swear the move over the bulge on the penultimate pitch is harder than Mod but maybe I'm not doing it right.
To get home. Annoyingly on topping out I realized that I left my shoes at the base of the crag.
Too knackered to even think about climbing anything harder than this after doing the Earl of Perth. Thought I'd show this to Mike for a relaxed finish of the day.
All thoughts of doing Limbo after EoP evaporated. We settled for this as a comfortable end to the day. Peter descended into Hades Cave for a brief recce. Headtorches next time
First ascent of the summer
In approach shoes whilst teaching Thom how to move together.
First time moving together.
An enjoyable hour up and down, I liked Easy Slabs.
to get home

Superb couple of hours. Last time Laura did this she slept pitch 3 in a backpack.
Down climbed first pitch
Mistaking soloed first pitch not realising where we started. Took Rich up on his first outdoor climbing experience. In shoes not stickies.
From the top I watched two crazy guys cycling down the huge slab on the other side of the river. Interesting...
Not a bad climb really.

doesn't get boring for some reason...
A nice lead - not a load of chances for placing gear - fun in the rain!
|Katherine Ross||26/May/12||Solo O/S||
Quite a pleasant scramble!

I don't think I have ever climbed 3 pitches in less than 10 minutes before.
Desperate for an ice cold drink from the ice cream van on the downs. More I do this now the more I like it.
a quicker way than the path to get up to the downs for an ice cream
Definitely did not skip school with Andy to go climbing today. 1st half of route belayed by Andy (basically soloing) and climbed parallel together up the top slab on 2nd half of the route.
Mountaineering in Avon? certainly felt little used exploratory...enjoyable
Moved together and placed one piece of gear on middle slab to protect the exposure.
Used as a way to reach the top belay of great central route. Where Jack was waiting with rope drag being too much for me to second him. Ended up abseiling off a very small tree to retrieve the gear. scary. Quite good route considering it is only a mod.
Descent in the dark.
used as the decent made cluimbing on the main area more adventurous
Gernot's first climb on real rock!
