The grade 3 pitch wasnt there so went back down around and up then abseiled down the top pitch and climbed back out bit of a faff but no one else around so didnt feel to daft.

not done this since 1988,so a long awaited return. A nice ice pitch, which is very narrow forms the crux,then fairly straightforward to the summit ridge. worth the two stars

We soloed up to the steep corner, which I lead, Diccon then finished off by breaking out of the gully to the left across the face to avoid the unbroken cornice. Conditions lean ice with 2cm of fresh snow on top.
