Dates: 1 February to 31 May
Reason: Nesting Birds
The restriction applies to the whole crag for nesting ravens. This site is regularly monitored and fledging often occurs here by early May so the restriction may be lifted earlier than the date mentioned above. Keep checking this page for updates.
2024 UPDATE: No ravens activity this year by mid April, as such the restriction has been lifted early - from 16th April.

βeta: Not route beta but approach beta - if you approach the crag via the long way down to the stile and then dropping sharply down to the stream, there is a large, dead cow in the water about 20m upstream of the crossing, just above a small plunge pool. The carcass has clearly been there for some time and given its state will take a long time more to decompose. Obvs don't drink from the stream or wash hands or feet downstream of it, and you may need to self-immolate if you fall or slip in the stream while crossing it. | βeta? | |
