Guide book said grade 1 so i only took one axe. Was a lot steeper than other grade 1's. Felt more like grade 2. A second axe would have made life a lot easier. Rock hard neve .

Dashed up to take a look at the Coire and my first taste of Scottish snow. Snow was like porrige low down but improved on the way up. Nice and easy snow climb with a touch of ice. Great for a first route.

Nearly came a cropper attempting right hand fork when crampon came off before I had protection in (caught it by its strap as it fell off boot!): route was not in condition. Returned to the left fork after epic and difficult retreat. Left was very pleasant, but glad to be alive really.
