Ironically, after experiencing brass monkey issues on Humerus, the temperature had crept up a few degrees, suddenly the appeal of Cheddar became apparent; fantastic location, amazing views, top quality unpolished (!) limestone. Cheddar is fantastic. The only downside was the biggest dog turd you've ever seen, laid there exactly at the foot of the route. I had to jump down from about 2 metres before progressing, and was so concerned about shit-avoidance that I damn near went over the edge. As it was I stumbled on landing and ended up with my face inches from the pile of dung. Needless to say, Jordan was first to see the funny side, by a considerable margin.
