10 pitches.

Rockfax Description
This is a demanding route tackles the face to the right of Mot Sola / Hoph Zing. An impressive route, sneaking up through slabs and steep grooves in the steep mid-section of Hægefjell. The route has been done free at 8- (sport 7b ) but most ascents use aid on pitch 5. There are many hanging belays on the route. The last two pitches are very blank and difficult to navigate. The route starts on the same ramp as Mot Sola.
Approach - From the campground/parking area follow the road along the base of the mountain. Slow Motion shares the approach with Hoph Zing described overleaf. From the ramp, head more or less straight up beneath the prominent groove on Pitch 5.
1) N5+, 50m. Start up flakes and continue past some bolts with a little run-out towards the end of the pitch.
2) N5+, 50m. Nice slabby pitch with one bolt towards the end.
3) N5-, 50m. Easy climbing through a groove, but not very much in the way of protection.
4) N6, 40m. A psychologically demanding pitch with very good climbing.
5) N6/A1 (or N8- free), 25m. A beautiful pitch which can be free climbed or aided (clean). Good protection (some bolts) leads to a hanging belay in the groove.
6) N7-, 25m. Start off from belay and make a hard move to exit the groove. After that it is slabby climbing to the next belay.
7) N6-, 25m. Follow the groove formation to the next belay.
8) 20m. An easy pitch. Traverse a ledge rightwards to another belay.
9) N5+, 35m. A thin, slabby and run-out pitch to a bolted belay.
10) N5+, 50m. Cross over to join Hoph Zing and trend left to its last belay.
11) 50m. From here low angled terrain trending left leads to the top.
Descent - You can abseil down Hoph Zing with double 60m ropes. The belay on top of pitch 4 is NOT equipped for abseil. The abseil from the top of pitch 5 goes directly to the belay on top of pitch 3. If you prefer to walk down, from the top of the mountain, follow the ridge west (plenty of cairns) and pass one steep section before you head down a slab into a gully that cuts across your path. Turn right and descend more steeply, down a very well-worn path through the woods. This path joins a blue-marked path that leads down to the road beneath Hægefjell. Follow the road back to the camp. The descent takes approximately 1.5 hours. © Rockfax
