1000m. Above the Neve Pelissier there are three obvious gully's heading up to the Trois Dents du Pelvoux. The Berhault Gully is the left hand one of the three. Approach from the Vire d'Ailfroide.
There are a number of ice steps at grade 4 and 4+ in the gully, which then opens out onto a snow apron near the summit. On the first ascent Berhault and Brizzi were avalanched off this snow apron and went the full 800m to the base of the route. A better descent is via the Glacier des Violettes, from the classic traverse of the Pelvoux
