Got up early got was at the bottom of the route for 10am hoping to do coronation street. We had perfect weather. There was one team in front of us who were up at 4am, well they were slow. We lead the first two pitches in one then got in the que. I got up to Dave and we decided to bin it As the other team hung on gear. We Attempted Sceptre instead. Which was a overgrown wet muddy knightmare. Got lost in a sea of ivy, looking for the clean rock ended up on what we think maybe the direct version. The Jamming cracks were wet and muddy. Could not get up it and had no more big cams to frig it. So set up a belay where there was already retreat tat. Dave came up to me, he found it hard. Then he down climbed the pitch back to belay. Took me tight and I had a good pendulum to get to Dave we then abbed to the bottom. I was happy to be on the ground a little stressed and buzzed a FUN DAY OUT. lol
