2098m. Vorder Leistchamm is a summit of negligible prominence on the north-south ridge leading from Glattchamm to the precipitous Churfirsten south face, rising high above the Walensee. Fantastic views of these features are reason enough to visit, since the south face of the neighbouring Mittler and Hinter Leistchamm can be viewed by venturing to the cliff edge. The view of the exposed approach, far below, to the col Gocht is similarly breathtaking.

The easiest approach is a straightforward if largely unmarked hike from the north up the depression between the ridges leading to Hinter Leistchamm (2101m) and Glattchamm (2084m), negotiating actually quite pleasant limestone pavements, grass, scree fields and maybe lingering snow patches in the base of the depression.

From the west, a scrambly descent from Hinter Leistchamm leads to a fairly well-trodden path into the depression, passing below the imposing obstacle of Mittler Leistchamm. From the east there are different scrambling/easy climbing options to reach the peak from Gocht.
