Ewan Russell - AltLd O/S - 27/Aug/14 with laurence furst

Led P1 - worth the E1 grade it gets in new guide
5eamuz - AltLd O/S - 15/Aug/14 with John Holterman

Hidden - AltLd O/S - 28/Jul/14

Led P2. Perhaps tiredness was setting in but we both thought this route would be a sandbag at HVS.

First pitch a bit dirty, the crux is towards the end, well protected. Second pitch has lots of jams - hands, fists, a bit of fingers, need no.4 cam for the crux at the end of the pitch. Sean lead the first pitch, I did the second.
bik - AltLd O/S - 31/May/14 with Sean Doherty

liamo333 - 2014

Flash as I was waiting for other team to finish. Take doubles for sizes 2 to 4 (C4s) otherwise be ready for runoutes.
deepdiver - Lead β - Sep/13

First route at Fair Head - expected a Millstone type mauler but it proved to be a very pleasant and amenable mid-grade HVS. First pitch a bit dirty in places and has a few tricky sections requiring some traditional techniques! The top pitch is a perfect, clean jamming and bridging corner crack with plenty of rests if you need them. A few harder moves but on the whole not particularly sustained, just really enjoyable climbing with (large) gear on demand. Led P2 and 3 in one (it doesn't really make sense to belay on the sloping ledge 5m from the top given the finishing crack is all in the same line!).
Misha - AltLd O/S - 18/Aug/13 with Ed

Lead P1. Very nice route, swallows lots of big gear!
eduardo - AltLd O/S - 18/Aug/13 with Misha

Andy Moles - AltLd O/S - 07/Aug/13 with James McKenna

Climbed P1 OS, but it started to rain during belaying Nina. Had to leave orange sling there. Boulder at 3/4 of the first pitch made me climb down about 3 times. Next time I'll take 4 and 5 with me.
adino - Lead dnf - 28/Jul/13

Slipped trying to go direct at the top... got back and realised it was way easier to finish left... D'oh. Lovely route, high in grade!
RKernan - AltLd dog - 17/May/13 with John O'Hara

Led pitches 2 and 3 run together. Felt very athletic and strenuous for HVS but maybe I'm just knackered after 5 days of climbing. Could have done with more than 1 each of sizes 3-6 dmm cams. Some sections felt very run out. Just had to throw a size 2 near the bottom of the last pitch and run to the top, just as it says in the guide!

I led the easier P1. A good lead on P2 by Pete, utilising well the largest couple of cowbells I've ever seen.
