Beacon Buttress** HVS 5a
[Beacon Buttress area at Beacon Scar, North York Moors. 1972., 4 kb]15m. The slab and groove above is not much respite from the steep cracks hereabouts. The easy slab leads leftwards to an obtuse (5b?) crux, and a rather committing and dusty groove above. Good value.

Really good route as long as you're willing to get your hands dirty! Plenty of gear where you want it. I took the direct finish which seemed logical and pleasant/protected climbing. Good warm up for Tremor next door!
