From the Dix hut ascend to the Col de Serpentine. From here follow the East ridge to the summit, initially snow, then rock to II. Descend the SW ridge route.

V little snow, had to cross rock band (I) halfway up broad ridge from Col du Serpentine. Ridge was closer to III at times than II. One abseil needed to descend first gendarme.

started in the Arolla valley 200m below the pas de chevres, long day 15hours back to Arolla. Well worth the effort, had to rush down the SW ridge due to thunder storm.Great alpine route , would recommend to everybody as a must do.

Fresh snow made the 'horns' a bit tricky. Ridge to the top is cracking, big holds and excellent rock for the Valais
