Restricted Access

The landowners have expressed legitimate safety concerns with climbing in the gorge. The site contains a popular public road and the potential for passers-by to be hit by falling/dislodged rock is obvious. If you wish to climb or scramble in the pass, BMC advice is to limit visits to either very early or late in the day, midweek.

15m. Climbs the blunt arete to the left of Berlin Wall in fantastic position. Once established on the ledge at the base of the arete, climb it mostly on the LHS via monos and layaways to a tenuous finish through a small overlap to twin bolt belay.

Care needed past the first couple of bolts due to the odd rattly hold, but above this, fine interesting climbing on compact pocketed rock remains.

Access: please keep a low profile and as per the general crag guidelines, limit visits to weekdays since the danger of sending any loose rock down onto cars, cyclists, walkers etc is very real.
