Great route, started up the short icefall in the middle of the buttress which made for a exciting start
sheelba - AltLd - 20/Feb/15

A lot of deep snow around on the first couple of pitches, once we gained the ridge properly though it was an absolutely brilliant climb. Topped out to one of the most incredible sunsets I have ever seen, made missing the gondola worth it. Scotland at its best.

Started up some steepish ice at the bottom - would have been great if we had any ice gear! Great route

Started from left hand corner of rib, then steep poorly protected move on turf, felt tricky. Lots of interesting moves and good grade III challenges. Excellent fun. Moved together from half way up once on crest and past the 'bad step'. Took 4.5 hours climbing after leisurely 2hr walk in, back at Gondola for 4pm.
Stuart Hurworth - 2nd O/S - 18/Jan/15 with Steve Graham

Lots of deep snow at the beginning made for slow going. Really good route with interesting moves throughout. 5 hours of climbing/ digging and still got the gondola down.
Fiona Reid - AltLd O/S - 17/Jan/15 with Mike

Buried for the first few pitches. Open to plenty of variation. Really enjoyable route and definitely the best on the face.
Mike-W-99 - AltLd O/S - 17/Jan/15 with Fiona

In great condition, long walk in from the gondola but well worth it. Pitched the first half then moved together for the top section.Whiteout and gales on the summit so a good job Ken knew where we were going!! Managed to catch the gondola down much to our relief. Top day.

Simul-climbed the whole route in 3hrs. Bottom of the buttress the turn was unfrozen and the snow was awful so we traversed onto the buttress a little higher from the left finding awesome hero neve. A far more pleasant experience than my last attempt on this route!

Ice a bit mushy but not a bad choice for the melting conditions. Lovely and warm in the bright sun once on the ridge. Managed to get the gondola back down which makes a nice change. An excellent route very enjoyable.

Superb big day, cold but sunny. Start of route unclear to us; ice pitch at start of Easter Gully looked seductive, but that's another route. We went up the frozen turf near the next gully left to reach the point where the rib becomes rockier and better defined. (Footprints from a couple in Easter Gully came up to the same point, although they were apparently repulsed by the first difficulty there and returned to the gully). After that a good variety of slabs, cracks, frozen turf and the odd patch of solid neve banked up on the north side of things. Probably did about 5 proper pitches total, moved together on the rest. Just made it to the summit cairn as headtorches became necessary. Will be back for more in this part of the world for sure.

good conditions all the way, turf not fully frozen at the start but fine higher up
HarryB - Solo O/S - 16/Dec/12

Turf frozen for top half of the route with lots of rime ice. Plenty of unconsolidated snow on smooth slabs, but a good choice for the conditions today.

Managed to climb line of 'most interest' rather than 'least resistance' which made it more like IV in the conditions! Bailed in worsening weather from the pinnacles near the top, downclimbed the gulley on the left and were promptly avalanched at the bottom. Not an experience I'd like to repeat! =o(
Mr. K - Lead dnf - 12/Mar/11 with Nick Ward, Karl Halliday

Excellently led via the most 'interesting' route by Mr. K until the pinnacles where due to deteriorating weather we abbed into the gully on the left. We downclimbed this and traversed across the approach slopes below Golden Oldy where we were avalanched on from above. A sobering experience! By the time we made it back to the Nevis car park it had been a 17 and half hour day!

Loads of wet snow and bad vis but managed route find ok just bit slow so missed the damn gondola! Down by 7 tho!

Moved together for most, I led the first half, Dave led the second. Some great steps if you want, probably going at upper end grade 3, if not 4.

Did first pitch, but started slightly off route in gully to the right. This made for a tricky few moves back onto the buttress, especially since there was no ice and the ground was not properly frozen. Rest of route safe and straight forward buttress climb but most enjoyable under clear blue skies.
