Very Turfy and insecure feeling down below, but made up for by the amazing top pitches. Good day!

Seemed to go off route a few times, plenty of vegetation, some climbing that seemed harder than Diff, finished late... A classic mountain adventure?!

Climbed on slimy wet rock which made it a bit more interesting. Got about 45min of views; walked out in lashing rain.

Cocked up the start and had to force a line through steep veg and loose rock. Hell yeah! After balls up, all fine. Nice top wall.

Lead the chimmny then went the wrong way on the short wall, bit trickier but probably Diff, just avoid the puddle hand hold.
CacCarnBeag - AltLd - 13/Jul/11 with Tom Stork
damp and slippery [we avoided the vegetatious lower bit]

1st mountain route and proper multi-pitch, didn't finish until half 8, not ideal with a 2.5 hour walk back.

We abbed of Eagle Ridge which was still dirty and wet after the winter so we did this instead as it catches the sun. Lots of grassy scrambling on the lower sections but it improves higher up with pleasant climbing on clean granite. A scenic way to the top of lochnagar.

same as the other guys below. led every pitch and probably went off route in places as some of the climbing was harder than Diff. turned out to be quite a long day out
stewart100 - Lead O/S - 09/Apr/11
lots of grassy bits on the lower part and partly wet; top part had nice and clean rock. Started late and it got quite cold and windy.
Stephi - Lead O/S - 09/Apr/11
Got washed off pinnacle grooves so did this in the wet, nice situations a few good sections of climbing. Would be much better in winter, good safe option on a rough day.

Nice route accessed via black sport. Crux pitch is not hard for a diff but looks more intimidating than it is.

Ascended the snow-filled Blackspout to half way then traversed in. Top section is lovely! Very clean rough granite. Mostly moved together but pitched a couple of the short walls.

Did the top half at least twice in mid-late 90s, but this time needed some gardening therapy so got soaked squirming in the veggy lower half. Upper walls are superb, maybe one day I'll have the balls to solo the biggie.
