Good climb, Enjoyable and nice to climb a waterfall!! Pitch one and three are quite straightforward with the crux being pitch 2! was worth of its grade i thought. Ice belays were all good.Some parts of the ice were very very hollow sounding though. if it stays cold it could be in for a wee bit yet. Worth a go...

Did this some years ago but wanted to come back and lead it. Lower pitch "in" this time (previously banked out) and made a nice warm-up before the main "ice wall", which seemed steeper and less "steppy" than I remember it being (probably less ice about altogether this time).

+2 degrees all day. Lower pitches very thin. Crux pitch and above excellent. Good placements due to slightly soft ice. Water flowing behind ice but not breaking through. Approach track and car park sheet ice, consider approach from Tyndrum GR328302 or using urban crampons for walk-in. Had to be towed out of Dalrigh car park by farmer.

Stopped off to do this route on the way back to Birmingham. We thought it would be a quick one but due to deep snow on the approach the round trip from Tyndrum took eight and a half hours, of which only a couple of hours were spent on the route itself. We skied in as thought it would be faster but were actually overtaken on the approach by two other teams, who were able to move fairly quickly over a track laid down by another three teams that were ahead. It was a busy day with six teams on the route, at least we got the climb to ourselves as we were last! A bit mushy in places but otherwise fine. Skiing out was quicker than skiing in as we had our tracks to follow but not much faster than walking as it's mostly flat and even uphill in places, whereas the initial steep slope under the route was a nightmare in deep unconsolidated heavy snow. Climbing in ski boots worked well in the conditions as easily got very good foot placements. My first attempt at ski mountaineering!

Good proper multipitch ice route we run as 3 pitches including the lower falls. Good ice but water visible running behind the ice in places and actually over the top of a little bit too occasionally, dispite very very cold weather. Amazing blue sky crisp day.
