Climb the corner groove in the front face of the prow, to a capping scoop. Pull through carefully, to a tree. Climb the corner directly behind this to a roof and pull through on hidden holds. Reach the large sit down ledge. For the second pitch start at the left end of the ledge and traverse immediately to the right to enter with difficulty a groove. Delicate climbing leads to a huge hanging flake, from which one can climb to a ledge on the right and then to the top, or at E2 directly up the hanging groove.

Lots of loose rock. It was a bit scarey on the first pitch. Did the E2 version

Lead P2 - cracking route and good Cheddar Trad and definitely worth seeking out. E2 variation is solid at the grade IMO.

E2 version. What an amazing route, don't know why it's not got 3*. A few strenuous moves at the top to the most epic positioned rest.

Absolutely mint! It was supposed to be our Coronation Street day, but there were two parties ahead of us when we arrived. Met Deepstar, who suggested this instead. The pedestal on the second pitch moved when I pulled on a jam behind it -- nearly shat myself. Was terrified of pulling tonnes of rubble onto Ben's head, so sort of bridged around it instead. Trouser-browning exposure on the E2 finish -- feels a little bit contrived, but well worth doing.

Epic consolation prize. Would lead in future if pegs were replaced!
