Rockfax Description
Good climbing on a strong line up the intimidating left-hand side of the crag. The second pitch is very exposed. Start in an alcove left of a large oak tree.
1) 4b, 23m. Climb up to a sapling on a ledge, then take a groove to below an overhang. Traverse right to another groove and follow this to a belay at a holly tree on the left.
2) 4c, 18m. Manoeuvre past the holly tree to a groove above it. Climb the groove, then head leftwards up a ramp that leads to a corner the top. © Rockfax

βeta: Hard approach up the skree, once close to the wall follow a path left under a tree and over a boulder. The climb starts with a slightly hard first few moves to good gear left and a nice belay stance up and right. Second pitch has a crucial move using the Holly tree before reaching a thinner belay, then the last pitch is a scramble from there. Lovely scenic route. | ||
