Looked at smiths but head wasn't in it so when up TG to the summit. Descended along the cmd aręte to cmd summit, the opted for the fast way down and bum sild 500m meters back down to the cic, great fun.

Snowboard descent from just below cornice. Didn't bother climbing over the cornice (about 7' high and 40° overhanging!)

Were headed for Gradyloo Gully but it looked too steep for us with a nasty looking cornice. Headed up Tower Gully instead and found that cornice almost as bad. Had to crawl along a shelf under the lip to get to the gap. Great way to get to the Summit though, as long as you don't mind the occassional chunks of ice that fly down from other parties on routes in Observatory Gully! Those chunks seemed to have our names on them!
