Craig Holden - AltLd O/S - 01/Dec/12 with Jamie

Lead pitches 1,3,5. P1 unprotected and surprisingly awkward with no ground level belay. P2 pleasant to a cave made of weetabix, P3 is excellent, P4 pleasant turfy wandering after an initial awkward step. P5 starts off hard and awkward in the chimney, then gets desperate above. Hardest winter lead to date. Would advise splitting the final pitch and belaying on the huge flake boulder at the start of the snow ramp as there is little to belay from at the top and keeps line of sight on the second. overall with the ridge approach an excellent route, though difficult today with just turf and powder.
