I lead the 6a and 5c pitches Apharri - AltLd O/S - 19/Jun/12 with Dave Wharton
Super classic route, possibly as good if not better than Steeple. Thought the pitch gradings were a little harsh on the easier pitches, we thought more like 4c,4b,5a,4b,5c,5b(one very hard move, may have gone wrong way!),5c,5a and worth E3 overall as draining climbing so many strenuous pitches in a row! Harder than Steeple for sure. Epic weekend combined with steep gully skiing on Saturday! Chad123 - AltLd O/S - 26/Mar/12 with Sophie B
Led first two pitches and joined them together plus the scrappy pitch half way, leaving Chad to do all the hard work! The overhanging crack pitch (5b, though Gazza says 5c?) was wild and brilliant fun with squirmy, leg jammy moves and big air beneath the feet; there was just one bit of slimy moss in the finger crack before the peg making it a battle to stay on! Belays were excellent - comfy grassy banks you could lie out on - all bar one just before the 'nails' 5a pitch... "delicate moves... pleasant cracks" ? Ooaft, this was our least favourite. What a MEGA route!! sophiecb - AltLd - 25/Mar/12 with Chad
