A brilliant route and one of the best E2s in the Lakes - well worth the walk! A steep and slightly butch start leads to the beautiful upper wall which provides contrasting climbing.

Excellent climbing throughout but... Crack was a bit of a shock straight off with no warm up! Thuggy. The delicate moves to the crack are lovely, struggled at the top of the crack as it doesn't say anything about it in the guide but top move to get on the ledge didn't look like it's been climbed, very thin move to get onto ledge! The 'easier' ground I found didn't arrive until 1 metre from the top out....classic stuff. Needs more ascents.

In stubborn cold cloud despite record breaking temps in the valley. A bit damp but climbable. A great climb on a beautiful wall.
