What a perfect day weather-wise. The only great day in a whole week in Lochaber. And what do we do? We get lost that's what. Mrs MB had a bad leg anyway, so we turned back after floundering around in the wet snow just trying to find a weakness around the falls of Steall to gain the main ridge onto Sgurr a' Mhaim. I'd been really looking forward to this route (the whole Ring of Steall) and the weather had come good, so it was all set up for a great day. Gutted. We were pretty much rained on the rest of the week, so little chance of a second attempt.

Got a little lost, over shot the ridge and came down the far side of it (somewhere) and re acended up gully just after start if ridge on west side. Will go back when theres better visability.
