Very enjoyable climbing. Plenty of gear on the 2nd corner (crux). Only the first pitch is of any real interest- last pitch of Yukon Jack makes a much better finish.

First pitch was exciting shame I used most of my nuts by the time I got to the hard bit on the first pitch. Next time two sets of nuts as the gear is amazing. I think I came out of the second corner early as it seemed to be harder than I expected and I was unsure if I was going up Yukon Jack (IV 5) which I really didn't want to be. Built the best belay in the world: 3 nuts, 2 screws and a buried axe [shame all the nuts were in the same crack and that one of the screws was a tied of 13cm :)]

Very little ice about and snow fairly soft. Sounds like this route doesn't usually build up a lot of ice anyway. First crux move is easier than second - both require careful dry tooling. Tricams useful on slightly flared cracks. All rock gear - no ice gear placed.Enjoyable. Snowcover on the Cairngorm plateau very windblown so not ideal for ski tourers.
