First E1 mountain route - loved it. Despite some serious huffing, puffing, cursing, managed it cleanish with no falls. Fairly straight forward thin slab climbing until roof step, which felt committing. Will be back to lead later this year.

Amazing route in a stunning location. Hard crack bit which hurt my wrist. Good ledge to stand on. Solid gear then a series of difficult, runout moves up to under the roof where there's good gear. Got a bit scared here as I misinterpretted Jon's instructions about where to go... Figured it out and pulled my way through the roof, awesome well protected moves.

2nd attempt GU. Bodged the crux stupidly trying to break through the roof 1m right of the square cut indent having totally misunderstood 'approach from the R' instruction in guidebook. Lowered off, stripping gear, Max got his tick without drama then it went easily for me on second attempt. Totally obvious what you are supposed to do, no idea what I was thinking, must have had tunnel vision from an inflexible interpretation of the route description. Lovely route though with several tricky but mostly well-pro sections.
