Rockfax Description
Less committing than the via ferrata in Hermida but it still packs a really big punch. The climbing is steep and strenuous. There is a picnic table at the top so pack a lunch and enjoy some food and the amazing views across to the Picos.
1) Go up easily to reach a traverse left to more staples. The next section is strenuous and off balance. At the end of the cable, at a grass spur, walk down left to the start of the second section.
2) The staples lead up to a roof. This appears difficult but is turned relatively easily on its right-hand side. The cable leads up and left to the final headwall section.
3) Traverse right with rock footholds for feet giving increasing exposure. Steep staple climbing with some big gaps leads up to an easing of angle and the summit. © Rockfax
