Heavens opened halfway through second pitch, resulting in my first rainy abseil on gear. Found it tricky to work out where the 'proper' start was, so missed the first belay. Very much unfinished business then!

Many attempts at climbing the offwidth 'strenuous chimney' (MVS) as a squeeze were rather entertaining! At one point I removed my chalkbag for a little more space and reached another 10 cm higher. It was possible to body jam and leave all four limbs flailing in mid-air. We climbed in traditional style in hiking boots which made smears significantly less secure. We both have a lot more respect for the old generation climbers after this experience!

beautiful day i led the first pitch brian led the two middle pitches in one and i lengthened the last pitch with a 50m run out!!!this was after we had dicked about trying to find the crag!!!

Managed the first pitch on a glorious April Day but in the shadow of the crag it was actually too hot to wait around. One of the party started to suffer from heat exhaustion and so we had to retreat rom the belay at the first pitch

Did in 3 pitches 1&2 in 1 and managed to make a major knot! Kaushik didn't quite understand the concept of removing gear. Sorted it out though . Also stance before I lead last pitch K starts to remove the belay he is attached to! to quote him and his brilliant indian accent after I explain why that was wrong "that should be in a comedy". Brilliant guy.

Abandoned halfway up pitch 2 after getting spewed out of the offwidth and taking a bit too long in general. Time was getting late and we had a long drive ahead, so decided not to keep trying. Seemed hard for a v-diff (an overhang followed by an off width?). Could be partly because I was trying climbing in big boots with minimal gear (no cams, a few nuts). Will be back to finish it off sometime!
