Went up too early on pitch one, snapped off a hold, fell onto the in-situ nut. Followed the traverse around ore second attempt, didn't trust the peg, felt bold but not hard.

The main wall after the 'simian' traverse feels very bold - no gear to speak of - but the holds keep coming (small but enough). The peg before the crux traverse looked old and scary, especially since a similarly aged peg on Vertigo, Black Crag, had pulled out by hand the day before? The crux is like a delicate boulder problem in the sky with only that peg between you and the ground! Great relief to reach the grooved arete. Mog led next pitch which was excellent. One of the most satisfying Lakes routes.
