Lead P1, 2nd P2. Dirty and sub-optimal gear. Route finding a bit tricky with the moss and such. Very committing.

Good. Bold for E2 and a bit dirty but quality climbing. Should be E3 for the lack of gear IMHO.
mike reed - Lead O/S - 27/Jul/13

P2, thank god! I thought it was hard for 5c, small holds.

Great route, quite mossy and tricky route finding on the first pitch. Awesome 2nd pitch.

Gave up leading/cleaning just before the step back right. Dirty and committing.

Better protected than it's reputation suggests. The peg appeared new. Absorbing, technical climbing but good rests between the tricky bits.

Ab'd off after 1st pitch. A bit dirty - confusing route finding.

Went up too early on pitch one, snapped off a hold, fell onto the in-situ nut. Followed the traverse around ore second attempt, didn't trust the peg, felt bold but not hard.
jacobjlloyd - Lead dog - 01/May/10

Pete Graham - Lead O/S - Jul/09 with Rick Graham

1st pitch only. Dirty and no chalk to show the way. Probably first time it's been done this year. Cleaner and chalked now though

The main wall after the 'simian' traverse feels very bold - no gear to speak of - but the holds keep coming (small but enough). The peg before the crux traverse looked old and scary, especially since a similarly aged peg on Vertigo, Black Crag, had pulled out by hand the day before? The crux is like a delicate boulder problem in the sky with only that peg between you and the ground! Great relief to reach the grooved arete. Mog led next pitch which was excellent. One of the most satisfying Lakes routes.
