Restricted Access
Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.
A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!
The original line up the right arete of The Bells. Start up the Sarah Greene Start to Blue Peter. Reverse Stroke of the Fiend to a flake on the arete. Move up and left to join The Bells and climb straight up the wall to finish slightly right with relief. When Andy Pollitt made the 'second ascent' he mistakenly started up Wreath to produce an onsight new E7 route 'Wreath of Evil'. He then came back to add the direct (right-hand) finsih to what he thought was the original Flowers, producing A Wreath of Deadly Nightshade. Most repeats of Flowers have finished up A Wreath of Deadly Nightshade (to the right) rather than the original finish to Flower of Evil.
