700m. Reputed to be the longest climb in the UK, though the middle section is a walk. The original line (Collie's Route) is graded Diff, the VDiff variant is given in the SMC Skye Scrambles book. Neither this nor the SMC Skye climbing guide give enough emphasis to just how loose the upper section is!

Hidden - Solo - 10/Jun/09

We did the VDiff version described in the Skye Scrambles guide (ie to the right of the original). Climbed in 2 pairs, mostly moving together, I led a few pitches. First 400m of slabs are fantastic, though sparsely protected. Then there's a 100m walk. And the final 200m, up the ridge proper, is more than a little worrying, trying to find the occasional solidly connected hold amongst the choss. I thoroughly enjoyed it, the other 3 hated it! The descent from Bealach Thormaid was a bit grim though.
