A 3 star route. The moves just keep coming, but never get desperate. The top out is a bit run out and precarious. The in situ threads are all looking a bit tired but adequate backup gear. A long time since I've done an onsight E2 lead. Soft for the grade.

Brilliant climbing - some of the thread need replaced - will try and get back later in the year.

Loved it! Though I definitely found it E2, or at least a very top-end (ie sandbag) E1. One of the concretions broke from under my foot, but managed to stay on. It was fairly chunky. Some of the in-situ gear is dubious (old and may need replacing) and there are quite a few loose bits of rock (as well as the suspicious concretions). However, all of that really added to the character of the route and I hugely enjoyed it! Somehow kept quite calm all the way through, especially the final loose finish. ** Oh and the abseil tree at the top is looking in very bad shape - not sure if it's possible to use a different abseil point? **

Seconded this in 2012. Great route, very low in the grade for E2. Care is required at the top due to loose holds.
alastairbegley - Lead RP - 11/May/15 with Nick Russell

Nice climbing, definitely low in the grade.
Nick Russell - 2nd - 11/May/15 with Alastair Begley

Brilliant climbing! Start is hard and a little precarious without much gear. Very sustained once you make it to the steeper part of the concretions on the pale wall. Nearly fell off after clipping the thread with a flat hold on the top, and had to retreat here to hang and rest the arms before committing to the crux and making it to the rest. Final section feels very spooky, though the moves are easy enough.

How much do you trust the concretions? I think this is the type of climb which feels much easier to second than lead. The route is shorter than 30m.
MD - Lead O/S - 13/Apr/14 with Jo

Lovely route - can't be E2 if I can second it clean and still be grinning at the top!

Very easy, not E2 but very enjoyable. Massive holds all the way. The top is not a "psychological crux" the moves are easy and the holds are still massive.

Joyous! Only the first fifteen feet felt a little strenous while placing gear and was made worse by the damp which clung to the lower section all day. The concretions are a delight and the protection bombproof until the slightly suspect rock of the final tower which was a bit run out but I didn't care by then. First ever E2 after 27 years of climbing (with a recent 15 year break)!
