Contrived and pointless and no way near HVS. Also Star Trek and Gerbil are opposite sides of the cave- not the same route.

Deep water soloed up and down. Very easy

Easier than the Vdiff to the left. Climbed back down to see if we missed the point. Still enjoyable.

DWS, fun but not HVS!

First ever DWS. The tricky section is the first traverse into the start, it jugs all the way to the arete after that.

Traversed further right and finished straight up.

Im a bit confused about the description...According to my friends book, Star Trek stars on the right of the cave, then follows a sort of ledge/crack and finishes through a small chimney bit. gerbil starts on the other side of the cave and goes up an arete. So how are they virtually the same route? anyway, i started on the right and did what i believe to be star trek. Really fun, scary first move up onto the ledge as there's a big boulder waiting to break your ribs below.

Climbed a sort of direct start straight off the beach at low tide. Getting onto the undercuts from the right is tricky and felt harder than 5a. Don't know how this compares to route as it's set out in the guidebook though.

Contrived and pointless, but a bit of a laugh nonetheless.

Done as a not very DWS. Would need a really big tide to make it safe! The hard bit is low down but there is not a lot of water and some boulders. Nice climbing. Would be strenuous to lead.

Kind of weird, moves are fairly cool, but use the large ledge as a hand ramp, not a foot rail! It would be better, maybe harder to start from the beach at low tide...

i think i want to high with the starting travers, i used the large ledge as a hand hold forthe travers and then climbes the right hand wall to gain the arete. great route, but january is not a DWS month.
