Great and its obvious from the bottom that it will be! Soaring arete all the way up. Met a couple of blokes at the bottom, oddly only lived in penistone, (<5 miles from us) came all the way to the lake district and the people we happened upon were local to us! A nice layback up the right side of the arete, up the left hand side, stayed on the left and eventually over onto the crest and a belay at the top, smooth flowing moves. Second pitch starts with an easy jamming crack, my true love! Gritstone technique comes into action but Brorrowdale volcanic jams don't hurt! Up the right arete with whopping great jugs all the way up in a beautiful situation looking all the way over the valley. Would love to have a crack at Dexter but the top pitch looked solid from the bottom!
