First pitch is harder than 4b in my opinion. Great intense climb in a brilliant position.

Lead 1st pitch. Definitly a great classic of the crag encompassing all that's special about Dunkeld rock and climbing. The climb is unencumbered by excessive gear and the placements are just sufficient for someone climbing confidently at the grade (because of this it's probably not suitable as a first taste for someone new to climbing at Dunkeld). Rock is wonderfully varied, wavy and solid throughout. At top of first pitch a few nuts form a decent belay for the left traverse starting the 2nd pitch. Both pitches could probably be run into one. HVS variation looks good as well! Relies on friction on smooth rock in places so would probably be difficult in damp conditions.

Captain Solo - AltLd - 22/Sep/07 with Rob
Did the direct start but the original finish due to rope drag
decs - Lead O/S - 08/Sep/07 with Rik
alan wilson - 2007
a good climb, midway belay is a bit awkward to arrange safely. Climbing not too out there for VS, the bold bits didn't feel like ground fall potential and were about the same as protected vdiff climbing, the harder bits were reasonably well protected.
