The pedestal lies beneath a large tree at the top of the crag. Climb a groove and rib, then step left on to a broad flat pedestal. Climb the short crack above and go left into a V-shaped groove, which is followed to the tree.

Don't try this at home kids. Even when it was over it wasn't really over, thank god for the large tree at the top, but even that was hanging over the edge at an alarming angle.
