Skied in over Cairngorm with assistance of poma. Whiteout descent on compass bearing. Intended to do the Chancer but approach slopes didn't feel right under skis and zero vis so opted for Cascade. Brilliant climbing, managed to squeeze 3 pitches out of the ice we found. Good steep grade 5 then a wee pitch of 3 to finish. In fat condition with several different lines possible and a variety of ice pillars above to chose from. First route back for my mate who broke both his ankles- he can only climb in ski boots for now so it was a good choice for the day.
