soft snow and thin on the scree section meant poor axe placements, amazing for April though
Tricky scree section in the middle, killer walk in and out
Beautiful route, conditions weren't the best, the thaw made the snow slushy.

Nice, chewy ice over rock steps. Very pleasant.
Was supposed to be just walking and maybe just plodding up banana gully hence only 1 general purpose axe but couldn't resist! Quite thin around the chockstones and by general consensus on UKC climbing at around a III - quite scarey at crux with my single axe but felt great !
nice gully, not bad conditions

thin in places, nioce climb
Mostly good snow, apart from a short gap of loose scree in the middle.
Thin in sections
Neve ok lower down, good towards the top. Unpleasant thin bit over some scree about half way up. Tricky bare section above that requiring some mixed climbing which merited III 3.
fun route, not as much ice as i had hoped for on the stepper bits making them abit turfy. but still great fun
Soft snow. Descended A Gully.
A bit of a battle in brutal conditions...the pleasure is purely retrospective.
Andy Dann, Jeff Smith
Karen took her new axes for their first outing. Snow was some what unconsolidated but there was some ice.
Finished by visiting the Summit of Y Garn, beautiful day, awesome first winter day out!
Constant spindrift from halfway.
