Looked at the clouds and decided to go for it and see what happened. Brian led up to the shelf which looked a bit bold as he didn't put any gear in until he was close to the shelf although it proved not too bad as the ledge was a easy to walk along. However, just as the gear was in and clipped it started to rain so Brian sheltered close in to the wall on the shelf and I hurried under the overhang by the start. Quite easy up to the shelf so cant't comment on teh whole route but looked good. We walked off to the right as it was very slipery after the rain.

Well I was quite pleased with myself for leading this. Middle section is where the fun is. I could give all sorts of hints but I'm not going to. It felt like VS while I was trying to place gear on the steep section but really it's only hard severe. Definitely worth at least two stars.

Sandy, heinous, nasty climbing. Harder than it ought to be at an HS, pretty unrewarding at that. Dunno if it was just because i'm a punter, but the rope drag was appalling at the top.
